HOW TO JOIN THE CORE
BTL holds elections every semester to refresh and periodically check in with the Core team. You can nominate yourself or any one of your peers to become a part of the leadership. This is how the process works:
-
Each semester the residing core team calls for an election and makes it public.
-
Residing Core nominates and votes on a new Head or re-elects the old Head with a simple majority vote. Residing Head cannot vote for themselves.
-
Nominations are made public; anyone who is or is not already a part of the leadership can nominate themselves or peers for one or more positions.
-
The newly elected Head independently or with an assistant interviews the nominees who were not a part of the leadership before and discusses their potential fit in the MiCo with residing members.
-
A public vote is held using simple majority for each position. In the case of a tie, the Head has final say.
-
On-boarding process is conducted by residing members.
